From micah at videon-central.com Mon Feb 28 09:22:49 2005 From: micah at videon-central.com (Micah Willy) Date: Mon Feb 28 09:18:11 2005 Subject: [HVDG] FW: Valley View Disc Golf 2005 [Please respond by 3-5-05] Message-ID: <001e01c51da9$5dcb99f0$7480a8c0@WILLYXP> HVDGers, Some of you may have already received this message asking for support of Valley View Disc Golf in Altoona. Eric Keim is the course promoter there in Altoona and needs our help. Please follow the directions in the forwarded e-mail below and give them your support. Thanks, Micah Willy -----Original Message----- From: Eric Keim [mailto:EJKEIM14853@msn.com] Subject: Valley View Disc Golf 2005 [Please respond by 3-5-05] If you are receiving this email it's because of either an email that was sent me regarding Valley View Disc Golf or from the questionnaire that was circulated in 2003. I am planning on being in the area more this year and am enthusiastic about trying to establish more of a disc golf presence in the Altoona area. On the 7th of March I will be attending the Blair County Park Board meeting at the Court House in Hollidaysburg. At this meeting there are 4 items that I hope to address: year round use, clean-up of brush piles and fallen trees, expansion to 18 holes, and the conflict of a recently installed walking trail on the fairway of hole 4. My request to you as a recipient of this email is to respond yourself and forward it to any friends or acquaintances you have that are interested in disc golf and have them respond to the short questionnaire. In the chance that you have family members or friends that participate in disc golf and don't have email, please duplicate the response adding their names. Please be honest and fill in any blanks that apply. Contact information and age is optional. A name is necessary for identification to avoid duplication. The more responses I get the better it looks to the Park Board. Also, if you are available and willing to participate in voluntary clean-up of brush on the course, be sure to check the volunteer box on the questionnaire. I will be in touch as to clean-up dates. I need your response back by March 5 so I can compile the data for the meeting on Monday. I won't have time to respond to all emails right away, but will email all responders with an update of the meeting. Comments are welcome. Name Age Phone # Email Participation at Valley View Disc Golf Course Once a week Less than 1 More than 1 Future interests for Valley View Disc Golf (PLEASE CHECK ALL THAT APPLY) More holes Year round Club Tournament Volunteer Other [To copy the table above for response to the questionnaire: using your mouse, highlight the entire table and copy (Ctrl + c) click on the reply button to open a new email, go to the body of the email and paste the table (Ctrl + v) then fill in the blanks. ] If you have received this email by mistake or you wish to be removed from this list please respond with remove my name in the subject box. PDGA BOARD SUMMIT - SCOTTSDALE, AZ - MARCH 1-3 This is only one of two occasions that your board of directors meets face to face each year. We enjoy visitors at the PDGA Summit - anyone may come to most of the meeting, which closes only for a few sensitive and confidential discussions but is 90%+ open to all. The board is holding its summit at the Executive Suites in Tempe, AZ, near the course for the Memorial. We meet most of all day on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 1-2, and in the morning on Thursday, March 3. We are in the Seville room for those meetings and the address is 1635 N. Scottsdale Road. There is a special period scheduled for members to comment to the board, also, on Thursday evening after our doubles. Because we are meeting in a different location this year, where we will be Thursday evening is not yet decided as we are trying to make it a very accessible space. If anyone has problems contacting us or finding the location, just call me (Terry Calhoun) on my cell phone: 734.883.4407.
